RSSWhen Paul says ‘Now faith, hope and love abide’, a lot of people think of these three as passive nouns. But how can that be true? Paul spends an entire chapter on describing Love as the supreme action of self-denial. And sometimes I can’t help but think that when people pray it’s as if they’re asking God to magically give them faith or hope or love when they really should be praying for the opportunities to do faith, to do hope, to do love.
