Moving Forward With Excitement and Enthusiasm
Francis Chan

An incredibly encouraging message by Francis Chan, preached on May 20th 2013.  To watch the video, click here

It’s about how God made you uniquely you and not anyone else.  Lots of laughs and highly relevant.  I will never see a cheese grater the same way again.

Some of the things I talk about are: When Jesus uppercuts drug addicts, the hyper-spiritual attitude in the awkward Bible study, and what separates the church from every other place in the world.

Prioritizing Your Outrage - Overcoming Anger
J.S. Park

Hello Planet Tumblr!

This is a sermon I preached recently at one of my favorite churches about overcoming our anger.  The text is Ephesians 4 and Philippians 2.

Some things I talk about are: Yelling at old people in traffic, Jesus flipping tables at a megachurch, airlifting spoiled kids to Somalia, and how to instantly stop lust.

You can also download directly here or check it out on iTunes

It’s a free download, so stuff it in your iPod for your car ride or work-out!

A fascinating interview by Lee Younger on his podcast with Sally Lloyd-Jones, author of The Jesus Storybook Bible.
They talk about the creative process of writing and storytelling, the cohesive theme of grace over the Bible, and growing up in church culture.  It’s definitely worth a listen.
Here’s my review of The Jesus Storybook Bible — it’s a must-buy.

Hello Planet Tumblr!

This is a sermon I preached recently at a very lively church about the crazy up-and-down journey of our faith. The text is 1 Kings 18-19, about my favorite prophet Elijah.

Some things I talk about are: The time I tried out for a Nickelodeon TV show, feeling forced to say ‘Praise God’ to keep up the Christianese, the first step to quitting porn, and the best wedding kiss of all time.

You can also check it out on iTunes or download it directly here.

Love y’all! — J

Multiply
Francis Chan

A great message by Francis Chan on evangelism, preached January 13th at Bayside Church in California.

At around 13 minutes, Pastor Francis gets into the awkward discomfort with evangelism and how hard it really is.  The candid honesty is very raw, real, and relatable.  Listen to the whole thing.

Rejecting or Receiving That Advice (Preached at The Bridge Chicago)
J.S. Park

This is a short seven minute sermon preached at The Bridge, a ministry in Chicago that serves ex-convicts, gang members, and those recovering from addiction.

It’s headed by the awesome Unka Glen, Jed Brewer, and Matt King.  They also do the very awesome Say That Podcast with Lee Younger.

I also had the privilege to see firsthand the awesome work of The Bridge in bringing the broken to Jesus and restoring lives a step at a time.  It’s truly a least-of-these ministry and God is doing incredible things there.

I absolutely believe in what they’re doing for the inner-city and you can support their ministry for only $8 a month (that’s like two drinks from Starbucks).  In exchange you get free songs, sermons, and Bible study materials that have been effective in their ministry.

I’m also a subscriber! I would support them even without the extra goodies, so that’s all a plus.  Please consider subscribing!
